EMTA Meeting in Prague (26-27 April 2001)
EMTA Member authorities met in Prague last April, at the invitation of ROPID, the public transport authority of the Prague Metropolitan area. They discussed the issues of common interest (project of European Regulation in the first place) and discovered public transport systems in the Czech Capital city. Two new members joined EMTA : – YTV
Position of EMTA on the project of EU Regulation on the award of public service contracts in the field of passenger transport
EMTA Members reached a common position on the project of new European Regulation, which was submitted last July by the European Commission to the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers of Transport. (added January 2001)
2,780 m for the Trans-European Transport Network
The European Commission adopted in September the Multiannual Programme for the funding of the Trans-European Transport Network over the period 2001-2006. The whole programme will amount to € 2,780 m, two thirds of which devoted to the rail sector:
